Human Statue - Admiral Lord Nelson

Admiral Lord Nelson is the only living statue that Ant E Statik supplies.  The Ant E Statik Nelson was immediately the definitive Lord Nelson human statue, and has come a long way since. From its stunningly accurate costume to its the cleverly subtle gimmic.  You would even think that the performer has only one arm... this is not the case.

Nelson is one of the funniest human statues you’re ever likely to see and one of the most convincing too. He’s sure to brighten up any event.  Just watch him reduce audience to tears of laughter without deviating from the classic Lord Nelson pose. 

Ant E Statik is based half a mile from Norwich Cathedral where Nelson studied.  The city is alive with pictures and references to Norfolk's favourite son.  This wasn't why Ant decided to specialise in an Admiral Lord Nelson human statue though.

"At first it just seemed like a nice classical figure to portray.  Then the costume had to be just right.  There had to be something really special about it too, something fun that no one else was doing."

In November 2008 Ant E Statik performed as Nelson at the Royal Naval College, where Nelson laid in state after The Battle of Trafalgar.  It was a government event for the foreign office with three hundred delegates from all over the world. 

"Living in Norwich gives me a bond with the character I'm portraying that I probably wouldn't have with any other."

Norwich museum has a  section dedicated to Nelson.  It houses. among other relics, a bust of the great man and his bicorn hat.  Ant carries an image of Nelsons (Statue) face around with him on his mobile phone to help him get his make up just right.
